The C8 Z06 Corvette is an all around great car. With a 5.5 liter naturally aspired V8 that produces 670 horse power and revs up to 8500 rpm, it is a fantastic track car. But many people want to extract as much performance as possible to get the fastest possible track lap times, so they look to modify and upgrade their cars. One easy performance modification is new lightweight wheels and stickier tires. The C8 Z06 comes standard with 20X10 front wheels and 21X13 rear wheels. This set up does not have a lot of tire options, and has no track rated/ race slick options. So you might be wondering if you can fit 18 inch wheels on tire on the Z06, in order to run a set of race slicks. The standard OEM steel brakes are 370mm in the front and 380mm in the rear. 18 inch forged wheels from Litespeed Racing can fit on the front of a C8 Z06. Normally 18 inch wheels can fit on brakes that are 380mm, but the Corvette has very large calipers, and a secondary e-brake caliper and therefor 18 inch wheels can not fit on the rear of a C8 Z06 Corvette.

Above is a picture of the standard steel rear brakes on a C8 Z06. The rotor is only 380mm but the oversized caliper makes these brakes too large to fit an 18 inch wheel and tire package.

This is the rear wheel on the C8 Z06 with the optional carbon ceramic brakes. As you can see, the larger carbon ceramic brakes fill up the entire 21 inch wheel. So the carbon ceramic brakes can not fit 18 inch wheels and tires.
